Even though the lockdown in London and many other parts of the world continues, it doesn’t mean we can’t make our weekend’s special! I suggest planning out some activities that you look forward to at the end of each week at home, to mix up your routine and keep you feeling inspired. Here are a few of the things I’ve been enjoying and I hope you do too :).
Virtually, of course! Pick up the phone or arrange to have a catch up over Skype or zoom or facetime. Even if it’s not something you would really do in ‘normal’ life, you’ll definitely feel better after connecting with your favourite people & family members . Plus, it will give you some new topics to focus on for a while!
Use the weekend to try out some fun new hijab tutorials or turbans that you always wanted to try and now you have the best opportunity and time in your hand so use it!. After all, if it turns out to be a disaster or the unexpected result nobody will know ;). You could watch again some tutorials of girls that their face shape similar to yours. All i can say is don’t give up keep trying until you figure out the best option that suits you! Yess
If you haven’t already done your spring cleaning, now is the perfect time! I recently went to the IKEA website and bought some of their Billy bookcases. The Billy is the perfect storage solution for my apartment as it’s spacious but also nice and minimal.
Next, go through and remove anything that you never use or wear, ready to donate to charity or put in the special clothes bins once the lockdown is lifted. Then, organise the rest by colour, brand or type. Whatever system you find the easiest! The end result will be so satisfying, plus it will be so much quicker to find what you need in the future.
We all have those lists of films we want to watch, but never seem to get around to (for me it’s game of thrones). Why not treat yourself to a movie marathon this weekend?! It’s unlikely you’ll ever have this much time to indulge in a duvet day again, so make the most of it! I put together a few of my favourite fashion films here on the blog, in case it’s helpful :). If you don’t have a list all you need to do is go watch some YouTube movie reviews and make your own list!
As you might have noticed, I’ve been getting really into Tiktok lately. At first, I thought it was all about dancing and voiceover videos, but it’s so much more than that! I love seeing how funny and creative everyone is being at home and was even inspired to try out some ones. Follow me on tiktok if you don’t: kaoutarbarhmi
I know that lots of people are still working during the week, so they might not have the time to work out on weekdays. And for those of you who aren’t working your usual hours at the moment, you might be struggling to get started. That’s exactly why this weekend could be the best time to try out an online class or new form of exercise!
Many places are offering their classes virtually and there are also lots of great options available on YouTube and IGTV. You might surprise yourself and find an incredible new talent, or at least a great way to relax .
Though we can’t travel now, we will be able to travel again one day. If you have a trip in mind that you always wanted to take but haven’t been able to yet, use this time to plan the details. That way, when the timing is right, the only thing left to do will be to buy that plane ticket and have the ultimate vacation of your dreams!
Let me know if you decide to try any of these ideas out!
